As the hours go by, details about the accident that cost Freddy Rincón his life continue to be known. The tragic event was caused by the driver of the truck in which the former soccer player was, a man who escaped in a taxi seconds later and now does not appear anywhere.
The accident occurred at 4:30 am last Monday and some data emerged from the hours prior to that moment. A friend of Rincón assured that on Sunday night they met at the house of singer Harold Saa, to watch Colombian soccer matches and listen to music. The same way, Freddy’s acquaintance added that he was in that place until 9 pm and that, until that moment, the ‘Colossus of Buenaventura was totally sober.
This Saturday, after the last farewell to the historic former player of the Colombian National Team, the newspaper El País de Cali exclusively published a photo of Rincón hours before the accident. The image shows the happy ex-soccer player at Saa’s house, a place where, according to the Valle del Cauca media, the birthday of a niece of the singer was being celebrated.
Rincón wore a white t-shirt, black cap and appears applauding.

The authorities continue to investigate everything related to the accident in which Rincón died and are intensifying the search for the driver of the van in which the Buenaventura-born was traveling. Those people will have to answer for wrongful death.
The Prosecutor’s Office cited the women who were also in the truck that night, who did not suffer major injuries and for the moment have not given more information about the driver. It is expected that now they will provide relevant details that will allow the whereabouts of the subject to be found.
