They call to participate in the national sports games of the workers

Juárez.- The Ministry of Education and Sports (SEyD), through the Chihuahuan Institute of Sports and Physical Culture (ICHD), carried out the signing of a participatory collaboration agreement with the National Institute for the Sports of Workers (INDET ), in order to develop a physical activation program in which the various dependencies of the State Government participate.

In addition, it seeks to promote the creation of representative teams of different sports disciplines, in order to form a selective team for the National Sports and Recreational Games of Workers.

The 50th edition of the national games includes the disciplines of chess, athletics, basketball, basketball thirds, regional dance, baseball, softball, soccer, swimming, volleyball, beach volleyball, in the men’s and women’s branches and the categories: Free 18 to 39 years old, and Master for over 40 years old.

The qualifiers will take place from May 1 to November 24 in three stages: the Municipal, from May 1 to July 31; the State, from August 6 to September 25; and the National, from November 20 to 24 in Oaxtepec, Morelos.

The Secretary of Education and Sports, Javier González Mocken, highlighted the organization of this type of event and wished them the best of success in these sports fairs; Likewise, he said that a broad participation is expected from the workers of the State of Chihuahua.

The director of the ICHD, Tania Teporaca Romero del Hierro, pointed out the importance of promoting physical activity and sports in each of the work centers.

“This type of event is an example so that with physical activation a better quality of life is achieved, since it is a commitment of government institutions, union and social organizations, as well as private initiative, to improve the conditions so that the workers continue to develop not only in the workplace, but also in sports and culture”, he asserted.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Reyes Soberanis Moreno, president of the Labor Congress and general secretary of the Revolutionary Workers’ Confederation; and Pablo Reyes Osorio, executive secretary of the Workers’ Sports Institute.

In addition to Rigoberto Machado Lozoya, general secretary of the Chihuahua Federation of State Service Workers Unions (FSTSE) and president of the Chihuahua Labor Congress; and Maurilio Fuentes Estrada, Undersecretary of Education and Sports in the North Zone.
