These are the three Juventus transfer targets for the summer

Juventus have plans to sign players in three key positions next summer as they look to bounce back from a disappointing season, confirms GOAL.

At the moment, Bianconeri are fourth in Italy’s Serie A and eight points behind leaders AC Milan. The Turin club have already been knocked out of the last 16 of the Champions League after losing at home to Villarreal.

The Old Lady’s only realistic chance of a trophy this season is the Coppa Italia, once they reach the semi-finals.

What do we know?

Juventus finished fourth in Serie A last season and the second season in a row left the club feeling they needed a big investment in the squad to bounce back.

GOAL can reveal that the club have discussed their plans for the summer transfer window and identified three areas that need improvement.

Their top three priorities were to sign a new left-back, a physically fit midfielder who could score goals, and an appropriate replacement for Paulo Dybala.

Dybala will leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires and Juve are hoping to sign a winger who can strengthen the squad.

Juventus made significant improvements in attack in January when they signed Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, but admit they have to improve in other areas.

Contract renewal of a number of Juventus players

In addition to the new signings, Juventus also want to clarify the future of a number of their current players.

With Dybala set to leave, there are still a few players who will soon be extending contracts if they can be convinced to stay.

Juan Cuadrado’s contract is running out, but he says he wants to stay at the club. Juventus still need to work out the details of their next contract, and so far there are no guarantees.

Goalkeeper Mattia Perin has also decided he wants to stay in Turin rather than leave this summer.

Full-back Mattia De Sciglio appears to be closest to signing a new contract as there are further positive talks.

Federico Bernardeschi is still in great uncertainty as there is currently no news that he is committed to the club.
