The Ukrainian judokas of the local club monopolized the podiums

A few weeks after their arrival in France, the three young judokas won their first competition in Occitania.

Recently, Yves Rousselin, member of the office of the Judo club of Saint-Cyprien, and the mayor Thierry Del Poso had gone to look for two Ukrainian families of judokas at the Polish border to welcome them to Saint-Cyprien.

The three young Ukrainian judokas have integrated so well into their new club that they wanted to obtain from the French Judo Federation, a solidarity license which allows them to participate in judo events under the label of the Judo club of Saint-Cyprien. , while benefiting from the advantages of the latter (in particular insurance).

On the occasion of the Grand Prix Occitanie de judo which was held on Sunday April 10 in Cahors (Lot), they wanted to demonstrate all the attachment they have for their country, Ukraine, and for their new host club, the Judo club of Saint-Cyprien, by climbing to the highest steps of the podium.

In the cadet category under 60 kg, Illia Fedesenko won the gold medal and Petro Adrianov the silver medal. In the cadet category under 66 kg, Tim Fedesenko also won the gold medal.

Remarkable results for a first competition in France. Congratulations are in order for their courage in such special circumstances.

It is also important to note the second place won by the young Cyprianenque judoka Jade Olivier in the cadet category.
