After crossing home plate in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by JD Martinez, Xander Bogaerts got the ball rolling in the eighth with a single that allowed Enrique Hernandez to score. Martinez, Trevor Story, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Kevin Plawecki all went on to drive in runs for the Red Sox.
Caleb Thielbar also gave way to Cody Stashak on the mound after a single withdrawal during this fateful round, but the Twins could not stop the bleeding.
