The incredible “eagle” that put Joaquín Niemann as provisional leader in the Augusta Masters, one of the four major golf tournaments

Joaquín Niemann continues to show why he is competing with the best in the world. The Chilean began his participation in the Augusta Masters this Thursday accompanied by the American Tiger Woods and the South African Louis Oosthuizen and has lived up to it.

Although he registered a bogey on the first hole, he kept calm and was able to add two biridies on flags 3 and 4. Of course, the best would come on the nine. There, a par 4 of 460 yards, the Chilean managed to put the ball in just two strokes, achieving a spectacular eagle that was celebrated by the crowd present at the Augusta National Golf Club.. Thus he reached a partial card of -3 that left him provisionally in first place in the classification.

In the Augusta preview, Joaquín Niemann referred to the possibility of competing against Tiger Woods: “It’s going to be a good experience playing with Tiger. Anyway, I came here to compete and it doesn’t matter what happens with the grandstand or with him. Anyway, it will be very nice to play with him”.
