The former badminton leaders made a series of accusations against the General Assembly, and expressed their total rejection of the statutes of the Guatemalan Olympic Committee, they also ignored the authority of the International Olympic Committee, as the highest sports organization in the world, violating the rules current sports, and the Olympic Charter.

Likewise, they pointed out that the statutes ratified and authorized by the IOC are not legitimate or authentic and that the appointment and swearing-in of the current Guatemalan Olympic Committee by the Assembly are abnormal, illegal and without transparency, among other remarks, according to the document. of the COG.

Said Executive Committee of the National Badminton Federation, they were summoned to a hearing, giving them the right to defense and in which they were expected to present their evidence, but there was never a statement on their part.

Given this behavior, the CI omitted the Guatemalan Olympic, determined, the former badminton leaders, represented a bad image to Olympic values ​​and the image of sport in general.

His actions were taken as serious and damaged the image of sport and the development and organization of federated sport, actions that go against the principles of the Olympic Charter and the Code of Ethics of both the Guatemalan and International Olympic Committees.

Prensa Libre sought to have communication with one of the mentioned leaders, to find out their position, but they did not answer the calls.
