Last Thursday, April 14, the second concentration of U-15 and U-17 badminton players in the Valencian Community took place in the town of Enguera, an event that brought together a total of 29 athletes from various clubs in the three provinces Valencian.
The Jaime Alegre Municipal Pavilion was the setting where the athletes held a productive training session, which began at half past ten in the morning and ended at half past one in the afternoon.
The meeting was supervised at all times by two of the two coaches of the Valencian Community Badminton Federation: Sergio Llopis and Iván Gallardo.
Technical and tactical aspects
Throughout the three hours of training, the athletes worked on different technical and tactical aspects, both individual and doubles.
The Xàtiva Badminton Club was present at this concentration with a total of seven athletes. Four of them (Sarai Ramón, Ximo Torres, Sergio Miguel and Xavi Roca) play in the Under-15 category and the remaining three (Andrea Orquín, Marcos Cimas and Jesús Cimas) in the Under-17.
“All of them worked hard under the orders of the federation technicians to try to gain a foothold in the next concentrations and have options to participate in the Spanish Championship of Regional Teams,” they explained yesterday from the Setabense club.
Confirmation of his entry into the regional selection will be known in the coming days.
