Tennis/Monte Carlo.- Bautista will not play in Monte Carlo due to wrist discomfort

MADRID, 11 (EUROPA PRESS)

The Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista will not participate in the tournament in Monte Carlo (Monaco), the third Masters 1,000 of the season and the first on clay, due to some discomfort in his wrist.

The pain in the joint prevented him from playing properly, so the man from Castellón, number 19 in the world, has chosen to rest this week to recover in time to face the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell-69th Conde de Godó Trophy, ATP 500 category and to be held from April 16 to 24.

Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi will replace him in the main draw of the Principality tournament, facing British Daniel Evans in the first round.
