The Fulgent Judo-club organized its tournament this Sunday, which was the 20e editing. All the club’s volunteers were mobilized around the president Frédérique Sipahimalani. Success was assured with 350 judokas present (187 in 2020) and 30 clubs (18 in 2020). “After the sanitary interruption, the young people were happy to be on the tatamis”, pointed out the president.
The judokas, from 7 to 12 years old, more than 60 per category, were divided into groups according to age and weight. The sporting progress of the tournament was under the technical responsibility of Christophe Perou (6e Dan), trainer of the Fulgent Judo-club.
Around him 12 commissioners and 12 referees ensured the smooth running of the matches. The top five clubs are: Pass’ Yon Judo, 79 points; La Ferrière/Les Essarts, 73 points; Star of Payré, 62 points; Beauvoir, 56 points; Pouzauges, 50 points. Note that Saint-Denis-la-Chevasse ranks 8e with 37 points and only nine participants. Saint-Fulgent was out of the classification, because organizer, obtains 38 points.
The Fulgent Judo-club will once again be mobilized for its garden sale, on Sunday April 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Place des Arcades.
