Robert Williams III was optimistic for a return at the end of April and his rehabilitation had started well. Obviously, everything went well for the Boston pivot, operated on March 30 for a torn meniscus, since he could return in a few days.
The Athletic announces that it would be possible to review the pivot either in Game 3, Saturday, or for the next match, Monday. Both matches being played in Brooklyn.
The decision will be made on the days of the matches, according to the feelings of the pivot. But clearly, we are heading for a return of Celtic in this first round, or in the second, if Boston qualifies.
Boston Celtics center Robert Williams is close to a return and could play in Game 3 (Saturday) or Game 4 (Monday) vs. Nets, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Final determination will be made on how Williams feels day-to-day after suffering torn meniscus on March 27.
