Reports from 5 European Countries Under the FIFA Ranking of the Indonesian National Team: Some Never Win!

INDOSPORT.COM – Look at the match statistics of five European countries whose FIFA ranking is below the Indonesian national team, where there is one team that has not even won since last year.

In the latest update of the FIFA world rankings released last Thursday (31/03/22), the Indonesian national team has experienced an increase even though they have not played any official test matches throughout March.

As is known, the Indonesian national team did not undergo FIFA Matchday because coach Shin Tae Yong was focusing on handling the U-19 national team which was prepared to appear in the 2023 U-20 World Cup.

Currently, the Garuda Muda Team is conducting an intense training camp in South Korea.

Investigate, the increase in the FIFA ranking of the Indonesian national team was caused by the decline in the ranking of North Caledonia, one of the countries originating from the Oceania zone.

Throughout the FIFA title Matchday in March 2022, Northern Caledonia has lost three times in a row.

Noted, they lost to Fiji 1-2, lost to Papua New Guinea 0-1 and lost to New Zealand with a landslide score of 1-7.

According to page calculations Football-Ranking.comthe position of the Indonesian national team rose one level from position 160 to 159.

While in the FIFA rankings for February 2022, North Caledonia is in 153rd position. However, three defeats suffered in FIFA’s official test matches this month, made the position drop drastically in the ranking to 160th position.

The Indonesian national team itself is currently winning over European countries such as Malta, Moldova, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, and San Marino.

Although the European teams above have not all faced the Indonesian national team, but seeing the position of the Garuda squad which has now managed to straddle the five countries, it is interesting to note the journey of UEFA representatives throughout 2022 which puts them in a low FIFA ranking.
