PSG: Leonardo positive for Covid-19 and absent from the trip to Strasbourg

For its first match as champion of France 2022, PSG is traveling without its sports director to Strasbourg this Friday evening (9 p.m.). Leonardo has tested positive for Covid-19 and must respect the isolation protocol in force in France (at least five days). The Brazilian is doing well but must therefore let the Parisian team move forward without him for a few days.

This is the second time that Leonardo has tested positive for Covid-19. In April 2020, at the start of the pandemic, the Brazilian and his entire family had been affected, without consequence.

“We all had it in the family, confided his wife Anna Billo in September 2020 in the columns of the Gazzetta dello Sport. We lost taste and smell, then had a fever and difficulty breathing. After 25 days, we were still positive. Hoping that the symptoms are less virulent this time.

PSG left for Alsace on Friday with a group of 22 players, including stars Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar. On this occasion, they will wear the club’s new collector’s jersey, adorned with a star celebrating its tenth title of champion of France.
