The Padres have reached an agreement to acquire starter Sean Manaea from the A’s, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand.
In addition to Manaea, the Friars will get minor league pitcher Aaron Holiday. Moving to Oakland would be infielder Euribiel Ángeles (the No. 12 prospect in the San Diego organization) and right-hander Adrián Martínez (No. 26).
Manaea went 11-10 with a 3.91 ERA for the A’s in 2021, matching six other pitchers with 32 starts.
The left-hander is projected to become a free agent after this season.
