Scorer against Feyenoord Rotterdam (3-2 defeat) on Thursday, Bamba Dieng (22 years old, 9 games and 1 goal in the European Cup this season) still lacked efficiency. After this semi-final first leg of the Conference League, the Olympique de Marseille striker did not hide.

“What did we miss? For me, we lacked efficiency, starting with me because I missed three goalscoring opportunities that I should have scored, admitted the Senegalese at the microphone of M6. We will do everything to score a lot of goals in the second leg to qualify. (…) It’s nice to score my first goal in the European Cup. It was essential to help the team.”

Able to get many opportunities, Dieng has yet to overcome this milestone in terms of offensive realism.
