North Vietnamese province bent on ensuring preparations for SEA Games 31 | Culture-Sport

Hai Duong, Vietnam (VNA)- This North Vietnamese province has been determined to promote preparations to conclude them before the 30th of this month, in order to host the table tennis of the XXXI Southeast Asian Sports Games (SEA Games 31).

According to the plan, the ping pong matches will take place from May 13 to 20 at the provincial stadium.

According to the deputy director of the local Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this is an opportunity to present to international friends the potential of the province and the hospitality of local people.

In addition to the decoration work and the improvement of the infrastructure, the provincial government also mobilized the participation of 70 volunteers to guarantee the success of the event.

The sports event, whose theme is “For a Stronger Southeast Asia”, will be held from May 12 to 23 in Hanoi and 11 neighboring provinces and cities, including Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Bac Giang.

The event will feature 40 disciplines, of which 36 were approved by the National Steering Committee for the Regional Sports Games, namely: athletics, aquatic sports, gymnastics, rowing, kickboxing, fencing, soccer, badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball, cycling, Vovinam, chess, pencak silat, golf, diving, Muay, among others.

More than 13 thousand athletes, coaches and associated personnel will participate in the SEA Games 31./.
