New contract with Hansa – Haertel victories put pressure on the bosses – football

These moments are rare and precious…

Late on Saturday evening – the players had long since finished cheering after the 1-0 win against St. Pauli and were already in the dressing room – the fans called on Hansa head coach Jens Härtel (52) to the stands: Let’s celebrate!

He enjoyed applause and chants, but warned: “It’s still a bit early, we still need a few points. I’m someone who likes to have moments like this – but when there’s really something to celebrate. That’s staying up for us, then we can have another nice party. Those are moments when I celebrate a little more exuberantly.”

Sachse Härtel, initially viewed with skepticism, is now a fan favorite at the latest!

And after his recent successes (victories against the prestige opponents Dresden, Schalke and St. Pauli) and now 37 points, it is clear: Hansa MUST start the new season with him. Sports director Martin Pieckenhagen (50) could not sell anything else to the public.

He had recently been surprisingly reluctant to comment on the Härtel future (contract is expiring), and called for further development of the game system and players. The victory against St. Pauli, which is also due to Härtel’s tactics, provides the best arguments.

Haertel on the new contract: “Why should you leave Hansa Rostock? There is no reason.”

Especially since the players advertise for their coach. Captain Markus Kolke (31): “We have now won four games in a row. That shows that we stand behind the coach and that the relationship is right.”

Are the bosses finally convinced?
