NBA Playoffs: Without Stars – Miami Heat is in the next round

The Miami Heat defeated Trae Young and the Hawks 4-1 without their stars Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry. While the Grizzlies made a comeback, the Phoenix Suns clinched game five.

The Heat are sending Hawks superstar Trae Young (23) home! The Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA playoffs and are now in the semifinals of the Eastern Conference. The 97:94 on Tuesday evening (April 26, 2022) was the necessary fourth win in the fifth game of the series. The success was achieved without the injured stars Jimmy Butler (32) and Kyle Lowry (36).

The best thrower for the winners was Victor Oladipo (29) with 23 points. The Heat next face either the Philadelphia 76ers or the Toronto Raptors. Philadelphia leads 3-2 in this series.

Miami took control in front of their home crowd as the game went on and never fell behind in the second half. De’Andre Hunter (24) had a strong evening with 35 points and eleven rebounds, but could not prevent the Hawks from star Trae Young (23).

The Heat are the second team to qualify for the second round of the playoffs. The Boston Celtics had already ended their series against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday (April 25, 2022). The team around national basketball player Daniel Theis (30) won all four games. The Heat and the Celtics will meet in the Eastern Conference Finals if they do.

Ja Morant makes comeback for Grizzlies – Suns take game five

In the Western Conference of the NBA playoffs, the Memphis Grizzlies clinched a late comeback to win at home to lead the series 3-2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The guests gambled away a lead of 13 points in the last quarter and can no longer afford to lose again. At 111:109, Ja Morant (22) hit the decisive basket for the Grizzlies’ victory one second before the end.

Top favorite Phoenix Suns won game five at home against the New Orleans Pelicans 112-97 and now leads the series 3-2. If they win again, the Suns are in the semifinals of the Western Conference and will face either the Dallas Mavericks around Maxi Kleber (30) or the Utah Jazz.
