Milan Jovanovic: “Anderlecht respects me more than Standard”

Present in Zulte Waregem to participate in Olivier Deschacht’s Legends Game against Davy de Fauw (2-1 for the ex-Anderlechtois), Milan Jovanovic (40) spoke about his relationship with his two ex-clubs , Standard and Anderlecht.

“No, I’m not going to the Cup final,” said Jova, one of the best players on the pitch. “I cannot stay until Monday. However, David Steegen invited me on behalf of Anderlecht. This is proof of Anderlecht’s respect for me. Anderlecht respects me more than my other ex-club, Standard. I don’t know why and I don’t understand, but that’s how it is. However, that has never changed my feelings about the two clubs: my heart will always be half in Liège and half in Anderlecht “I am also very disappointed with the current situation at Standard. The club has been in decline for more than ten years.”
