After a slightly tougher back nine on Saturday, Scottie Scheffler left a door ajar for arch-rival Cameron Smith in the final round of the Masters.

The two golfers will hit the course at Augusta National at 2:40 p.m. The American and world No. 1 holds a three-stroke lead over Smith thanks to his cumulative minus-9. By managing to strike four par in the third round, Smith moved into second place in the leaderboard.

While Scheffler’s recent success on the PGA Tour is well documented, Smith certainly won’t let up.

Smith notably had 10 birdies in the final round of the Players Championship last month to earn the victory. He has three top-10 finishes in his five Masters appearances, including a tie for second in 2020.

Scheffler has won three of his last five tournaments. He seemed to fly over this Masters Tournament until a streak of three bogeys in five holes on Saturday.

Canadian Corey Conners remains far from the leaders at minus-1, but he still occupies sixth place.

After a 78 recorded in the third round, Tiger Woods will start alongside Jon Rahm on Sunday around 10:50 a.m.
