MAZATLAN._ High-level duels were experienced this Thursday morning, during the second day of the Nancy Grimes Easter Tennis Tournament 2022which is held in the port.
Once again, the facilities of the Racquet Club Las Gaviotas They were filled with high-level meetings, where little by little the tennis players who seek to earn a place in the grand final of this competition are defined.
Within the Open Professional category, the young Mazatlan Mariano Hinojos managed to win a valuable victory by beating Dante Rojas 6-1 and 6-1 in two sets, in a high-level match.
Once again, Hinojos from Buenos Aires exhibited his best skills with the racket to add this valuable victory over Rojas and earn his ticket to the quarterfinal phase.
Who also maintains a firm step in this tournament is Juan Pablo Valdez, also from Mazatle, because using a high level of play, he was able to beat Carlos Zerega in two sets of 6-3 and 7-5.
In this match, “Juanpi” Valdez showed why he is one of the most outstanding players in the town, thus being able to prevail over Zerega, who despite having shown a great game, ended up falling and giving the pass to his rival.
On the other hand, Eduardo Orozco from Jalisco had his first match and beat Evani Prado by a score of 7-5 and 6-4, in one of the most intense matches of the day, where both tennis players left everything behind the net.
