Maddi Harina Gartzia (Errenteria 2009) is the youngest of 3 judoka brothers, she started at the age of 5, she studies at Lizeo Pasaia, where she attends DBH1. This weekend she became Champion of the Euskadi Children category under 48, in the championship held in Gasteiz, a great result that allows the young woman from Errenteria to qualify for the Spanish Championship to be held in Pamplona the last weekend of April.

Maddi trains 3 days a week at the Judo Club San Sebastián. Her parents, Miguel and Maite, also athletes, emphasize that her daughter is “cheerful and committed to this sport.” She was practically born on a tatami, being the youngest of 3 judoka brothers, her love for this sport came directly from her family vein. “She gives her all in every training session” emphasizes her mother. Maddi, she is a music lover, she plays the cello and is self-taught with other instruments such as the guitar.

One of her greatest passions is animals, she considers herself a feminist and with great values. Her references are her brothers and her trainers are Julen Idarreta and Erlantz. The dream of this young judoka is to be able to participate in the Olympics.
