Reinstatement for Luca Vildoza thanks to Milwaukee Bucks. The Argentine point guard will return to the NBA hand in hand with the current champion of the competition with a contract for the remainder of the season and the next whose terms still have to be tied between the two parties, as Adrian Wojnarowski has revealed for the first time in ESPN. It is a silver opportunity, not a gold one, for the international point guard: he has been unemployed all season due to an injury that left him without options in the Knicks, the team that had recruited him in the first term to play in the United States.
In the Bucks you will find that the output of Donte DiVincenzonow in the Kings, and the irregular presence of George Hill it can open a gap in which to get your head out. Has the playoffs as a perfect showcase and, predictably, a regular season in full after the summer to demonstrate their skills. He will also compete with Holiday, Carter, Allen or Connaughton on the outside line.
Vildoza left Baskonia, the team in which he spent his time in Spain, in the spring of 2021 in a move similar to that made by his compatriot Gabriel Deck with Real Madrid. His destination was the New York Knicks, on whose base chart he could fit.
Visa and protocol problems against the coronavirus delayed his debut. He was planted, after the elimination of the team, in the summer league. A foot injury, with the Olympic Games as a goal in between, was going to end his dream, although only partially. In the preseason, unable to train well or play games, he was cut by the New York franchise.
He passed through Vitoria before 2022 arrived and there was even speculation in the city with a possible return to the team from which he left. None of that after the call of the Bucks in the middle of the decisive phase of the campaign. It will be there where he can make his debut in the great North American competition.
This management makes sense if we know who has done it. As part of the Octagon agency, it has been Alex Saratsis who has obtained this contract for Vildoza. His agent for the United States is, therefore, the same as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s, with whom he will coincide in Milwaukee when the fringes are closed.
