The Los Angeles Lakers announced the dismissal of coach Frank Vogel on Monday. This is the cost of a 2021/22 season far below the objectives of the NBA basketball team.
‘It’s an extraordinarily difficult decision to make. But we feel it is needed at this point,” franchise general manager Rob Pelinka said in a statement.
In office since the summer of 2019, Frank Vogel had won the NBA championship title during his first season at the head of LeBron James’ Lakers. But he could not qualify his team for the play-offs this year, after being eliminated in the first round last year.
