Kansas City champion in American men’s college basketball

In the American College Sports Federation (NCAA) Men’s Basketball League final, Kansas defeated North Carolina 72-69 to become the champion.

Kansas and North Carolina faced off in the match that determined the champion of the NCAA Men’s Basketball League, first held in 1939.

In the match played in New Orleans, North Carolina lost the match despite closing the first half of the game with a 40-25 lead and increasing the lead to 16 towards the end of the first half.

Kansas, which came from 16 points behind and became the champion, broke new ground. Kansas became the team that won the championship by closing the biggest gap in the tournament final.

Thus, Kansas won the NCAA Men’s Basketball League title for the 4th time.

The top scorers in Kansas were Jalen Wilson and David McCormack, who each scored 15 points.
