Judoka Mathis Dufraigne is French champion

Saturday March 26, in Villebon-sur-Yvette in the Paris region, Mathis Dufraigne became champion of France in the minimal category.

A big congratulations to this young judoka and what an honor for the Judo Club Villeneuvois which has accompanied him in recent years. An exceptional but hoped-for result given the recent performances of Mathis (champion of the Paca region, 3rd at the international tournament of Saint-Cyprien, 3rd at the national tournament of Dijon).

Mathis was able to raise his level throughout the competition to win the final after a marathon day (seven fights, seven victories). This title rewards his constant efforts over the five years he has been training with the Villeneuve Judo club, four to five times a week.

Next year, he will integrate a sport-study course at the Pôle Espoirs de Montpellier to continue his progress. The club will continue to follow the young athlete in his high-level career so that he shines again and again the colors of the Judo Club de Villeneuve nationally and internationally.
