The Xalapan judokas, Dione Danee and Mauro Alexander declare themselves ready to compete in the Macro Regional de Judo which will be held in the state of Oaxaca and where the best exponents of this sport will be presented.
Both are part of Xallapan Judo Clubwhere they worked constantly under the instructions of Professor Julián Gutiérrez, who highlighted the high level of his two students, so there is confidence that they will advance in the qualifier.
One day before making the trip, the judokas carried out a strong two-hour training in which they detailed important points that will avoid any mistake in competition.

Mauro Alexander minutes after completing part of his training program indicated that he is calm and sure of himself “because I already trained what I had to train, well my coach says we cannot add many things in these last three days, because nothing is obtained from there”, expressed the athlete.
He says that he will go with what he knows and with what he has trained, so “there is confidence in bringing a good result”.
He points out that he goes to the Macro with the idea of advancing and trying to endorse the national title he won in 2021 and although the Macro is concentrated, there is also a space to think about the qualifiers of the Youth Olympic Gamesbut he says it will depend on what he achieves in the competition he is about to participate in.
He points out that for his next events he is in talks with his parents to raise funds, since he says he does not receive support from the institute when he attends these tournaments.
“So that I can attend these events, with my parents, family and friends we organize raffles and go out boating, I have done this two or three times, I am not ashamed to say it, because with this people know me, however it should not be So, although on the other hand this is my sad, I understand that they will not support initially, but they should pay attention to children’s talents and support us much more”, he indicated.
For her part, Dione Danee, competitor in less than 57 kiloscommented that to get to the top of the event during Holy Week, he took the opportunity to work a double session “as regards Judo, in addition to doing weights, going for a run and swimming,” he indicates.
She emphasizes that she feels very well and very prepared “Fortunately, in the previous event that was the Universiade, I reached the semifinals and that motivates me to face the next competition in which I will seek my pass to the national”, he spoke from the Xallapan dojo.
She also highlights that hard work also inspires her, because every day she prepares giving more than 100%, because she trusts the training she has done, “that’s why I see myself in the nationals and why not, winning a national medal”, said the athlete.
Julián Gutiérrez, coach of both, expresses that he sees them very concentrated, also with a long time of work that they started “since last year, when we ended our participation in the 2021 nationals”, comments.
He highlights that the training has been for a long time with sessions during vacations, “That is why I say that they are well prepared and everything will be seen on the tatami in the competitions, we hope that the results will be given and we will look for the classification. Let’s remember that it ranks first and second place, so it is mandatory to reach the final”, he points out.
It indicates that they already have the tools and that now it depends on their concentration so that they give their best.
The coach took the opportunity to invite girls, boys, youth and adults to join the club to practice judo.
“We open a new class for children that is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and youth and adults are from Monday to Friday from 19 to 21 hours. The first thing that is asked of them is to arrive with an attitude of wanting to learn”, he concludes.
