Judo Bond Nederland – Papendal Open on May 7: Come see our judo and…

In honor of Papendal’s 50th anniversary, the Papendal Open will be organized on 7 May. During the event you can attend workshops, clinics, presentations and guided tours. There are clinics for BMX, beach handball, badminton and of course judo and jiu-jitsu. Tickets are free, but you do need to register in advance. It is not necessary to sign up for the budoclinics.

In the morning, two clinics are organized for everyone under the age of 18. The judo clinic is taught by Karen Stevenson, who recently won the Grand Prix in Zagreb. The jiu-jitsu clinic is given by Boy Vogelzang (World Games winner and European champion), Ecco van der Veer (silver at the European and World Championships) and Aafke van Leeuwen (triple world champion). They also give the clinic in the afternoon for all those interested in jiu-jitsu who are over 18 years old. The judo clinic in the afternoon (+18) is given by Geke van den Berg, the current number 18 in the world ranking.

An increasingly important part of Judo Bond Nederland is Visual Impared judo (judo for the blind and partially sighted). A demonstration of this judo part can be seen at 12:30 pm at the Papendal Open.
