Jorge Luis Pinto fired him with emotional words

This Saturday the last tribute to Freddy Rinconwhich was attended by family and special friends of his. Several ex-soccer players and coaches were there to say a last goodbye to whom they considered more than a teammate, but an important figure in their lives.

One of them was the coach Jorge Luis Pintowho throughout the week expressed the pain he felt for the loss of Rincón, as he was one of the players who helped boost his career as a coach. He made him debut as a soccer player with Santa Fe in 1986 and also gave him the opportunity to be his technical assistant at Millonarios during 2018.

Pinto spoke at the Pascual Guerrero and dedicated some emotional words to Rincón, his children and relatives.

“Freddy is an example of life for this country, he transformed humility into greatness. You can’t imagine how he came to Santa Fe, with what simplicity and humility; he had no guayos. I haven’t had a player who has the work capacity of him. A man of trade, work and dedication. He was not interested in money, he just wanted to play and play. I saw him grow, win and triumph around the world, that is a source of pride for those of us who are here”, he commented.
