Joel Embiid tops NBA regular season leaders

The regular season is over and it was until the last day of activities that one of the most important categories in the NBA was defined, such as the title of scoring champion which finally went to Joel Embiid. But aside from the Sixers star, there are others who dominated the various stats, and here’s a look at them.

Joel Embiid the best in points

The fight to define this season’s Scoring Title was very close and in the end, Joel Embiid had a bit of luck since LeBron James, who remained the leader, did not play in the last games and thus opened the way for that the fight was only between Embiid and Giannis. The Bucks player did not play the last game and with Joel’s 41-point performance against the Pacers on Saturday, he clinched the title by averaging 30.6 points per game.

What Embiid achieved has a very important historical value, since 2000 when Shaquille O’Neal won the championship, no other center had conquered the title and with an average of 30 points the last one in that position had been Moses Malone in 81-82. As if that were not enough, Joel Embiid is the first international player to win the Scoring Title.
