Jerez.- With the participation of racket players from Calera, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Jerez, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí and Puerto Vallarta, the tennis tournament called as part of the 2022 Spring Fair program began, which takes place on the courts of the Sports Unit.
This Thursday the inaugural ceremony was held by the Municipal Sports Coordinator Armando Quiñones Ortiz, accompanied by the president of the Municipal League Raúl Márquez Maldonado and the tournament organizer Cristhian Moreno Pérez.
On behalf of Mayor José Humberto Salazar Contreras, the head of sports held the opening ceremony and thus launched the sports activities that will take place during the fair celebration, which consider a variety of events.
The competition began this day with the doubles modality and continues on Saturday and Sunday with the top competitors in singles; the following Thursday and Friday the second force will also enter the competition individually; on Saturday 23 will be the semifinals and the next day the finals.
The tournament brings together 36 competitors who aspire to win economic prizes that, for the first force, are 7,000 pesos for first place and 4,000 for second, while, in the next category, they are 5,000 and 4,000 and in doubles, 1,500 to the winner and 1,000 to the runner-up.
