Indian’s Arc will organize the French Elite Archery Championships on 3D targets in Blanquefort

This new championship, set up during confinement to be in tune with international competition, will bring together the 22 best in the national scratch ranking, from junior to senior 3, in men’s and women’s categories in each of these four disciplines: archery compound, straight bow, hunting bow and bare bow. In all, 176 archers will be present for this qualifying Elite championship for the French team which will compete in future international competitions.

A proof of trust

In total for the two championships, 684 competitors will be hosted on the Tanaïs site, 5 hectares and a beautiful new room of 500 m² dedicated to nature, countryside and 3D target archery. Note, the 25 regional referees are to be accommodated as well as three people from the Federation for a week.

The Blanquefortais club was chosen for the environment of its permanent courses in the middle of the forest, its ability to mobilize 50 volunteers who put the club forward, its experience in terms of organization… like Inter 3D, which will celebrate its 20 years.

Cheetah, turkey, snail…

The Indian’s Arc club, chaired by Éric Seguy for six years, will install 24 targets – rabbit, hedgehog, snail, mosquitoes, owl, owl, duck, goose, lynx, wildcat, panther, turkey, cheetah, leopard, fox, lion , zebra, cassowary, tiger, bison, bear… and the largest, a mammoth. A unique piece in the world made by Jean Cazenove, creator of the Arawak targets.

“We also have exceptional targets, says Virginie Seguy, the treasurer. Fantastic beasts inspired by the films ”Avatar” and ”Alien”, but also some homemade targets made of special foam such as dinosaurs which have joined the Tanaïs herd, which must be renewed and enriched with new targets. This year, they arrive from South Africa. »
