MESTRE – The robber ends up in prison ten years old strokes. The times of justice, this is certainly not news, are often biblical. Thus it happens that the carabinieri of Favaro, in recent days, went to take a 32-year-old from the area, Nicolò di Nicola, to take him to his cell for crimes committed in 2012. The young man, who at the time of the facts was little more than twenty years old, he had robbed a tobacconist’s in Campo San Rocco in Venice. What had betrayed him was that camouflage bag used during the heist: the investigators had immediately noticed that that object was identical to that used by the robber who had, the previous year, hit at the Sherman Institute for Clinical Analysis in Campo San Bortolomio. According to the reconstruction of the military of the investigative nucleus of Venice, Di Nicola had entered the analysis laboratory with his face partially covered by a bandana and, using a large screwdriver, had forced the employees of the health center to deliver the sum kept in cash: one thousand euros. After the blow, the man had managed to escape by losing his tracks in the network of calluses around the Sherman.
THE UNCLE COMPLICE
The second robbery, this time against the San Rocco tobacco shop together with an accomplice, an uncle, had yielded 2400 euros. On that occasion, the agents of the Police Mobile Squad intervened who, again within a few days, were able to trace, also through the analysis of some telephone records, to Nicolò Di Nicola, who then spontaneously presented himself at the Police Headquarters and admitting his responsibilities, he had obtained the obligation to stay in Favaro.
THE AGGRESSION
To these accusations, then, was added the aggression suffered by a young man from Mestre, in 2013, threatened with a baseball bat and forced to deliver a few coins. These three episodes (therefore also the sentence for personal injury) had led to a cumulative sentence of 2 years, 2 months and 14 days of imprisonment. After the third degree of judgment in the Supreme Court, the sentence became final and the young man from Favaro was then accompanied to the prison of Santa Maria Maggiore, where he will remain for the next two years.
