In an interview, the member of the Social Affairs Council, Oscar Jiménez Álvarez, explained that as a result of the community deciding to embark on the path of self-government, they began to make a diagnosis of the situation that prevails in Arantepacua, for which they realized that drug addiction and alcoholism were serious problems that were affecting them.
“We analyzed which alternative was convenient to counteract this situation and as part of the direct budget that we received in the community, a resource was allocated for the creation of basketball schoolwhich already has around fifty players between children and young people”.
Within this first stage, he specified that they will work on the formation of the teams of the different categories and later they will seek to establish intercommunal leagues and championships, in addition to joining the Mexican Sports Association of Basketball (ADEMEBA).
