IMDET international badminton course begins

* The activity is carried out in collaboration between the Municipal Sports Institute of Tijuana and the Autonomous University of Baja California.

Balún Canán Weekly/ TIJUANA, BC, (SBC).- The Tijuana Municipal Sports Institute launched the international Shuttle Time Badminton course that will be held over three weekends in April and organized in conjunction with the Autonomous University of Baja California.

The facilities of the Faculty of Sports of the UABC, Tijuana campus, were the setting in which the first block of the course was taught, which is aimed at students or graduates of careers related to physical activity and sports, as well as sports coaches and physical education teachers.

The LADF Gennifer Aguirre Fajardo was in charge of teaching the activity to which 15 people signed up, who participated in various exercises that aim to provide the necessary tools for teaching and developing the discipline of Badminton.

The course will continue on Sunday, April 10 and Saturday, April 26, in the Tijuana Sports Unit gym, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The activity is free and there are still spaces available for those interested in learning about the discipline of Badminton with a focus on the student aspect.

Shuttle Time is the School Badminton Program of the International Badminton Federation. This model aims to make the discipline one of the most popular school sports in the world, since Badminton is suitable for girls and boys of all ages and skill levels.
