Great win for Progre at home and playoffs in sight

The Argentine Basketball League is a very demanding competition. Del Progreso is one of the two Rio Negro and zonal representatives in the second category of national basketball and last night he fulfilled his first goal of the season.

With the victory over Villa Miter 92 to 88, was tenth in the standings in the Southern Conference, with a 13-15 record and was able to avoid play-in that the teams that were ranked 11th to 14th will play.

It was a night in which the team led by Juan Kass signed all the good things they did in the season, because he was superior to a hierarchical rival, he was at the forefront throughout the game and closed it in his favor, despite the comeback from Villa Miter.

Progre came to win by 21 with good basketball passages and an effectiveness typical of a team that, when confident, can beat anyone.

Ezequiel Dupuy was the top scorer with 19 points at home, which had a distribution of points that shows the DNA that Auriazul has sought in its four years in the Argentine League. It doesn’t always succeed, but that’s the intention.

The visitor was outclassed in most of the match, but with his individual quality and good hand he approached in the last quarter, led by the man from Regin Federico Harina (21 points), José Gutiérrez (20 and 7 assists) and Ramiro Heinrich (16 and 10 rebounds).

However, Progre closed the game in their favor and fulfilled the first big goal of the season. Now, Kass’s team will go for reclassification, where they expect a rival for the round of 16.
