Great, the World Ranking of the Indonesian Futsal National Team Soars Over the United States and England

INDOSPORT.COM – The Indonesian Futsal National Team managed to climb three places in the world rankings after being runner-up in the AFF Futsal Championship or 2022 AFF Futsal Cup.

Launching from the official page Futsal World Ranking, The ranking of the Indonesian national team has increased from 45 in the world, after the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship, now they occupy the 42nd position as of today, Tuesday (12/04/22).

Mohammad Hashemzadeh’s team now has 1061 points, the same achievement as Lebanon, which also occupies the 42nd position.

However, the Garuda National Team is superior because they were able to climb six steps from the previous ranking on December 21, 2022. Meanwhile, Lebanon had to drop two places from its previous position at 40th.

Interestingly, the current position of the Indonesian Futsal National Team has also managed to outperform the two superpower countries, namely the United States and England.

Currently, the United States is only content to be ranked 47th in the world (1019 points) while the UK is in a much lower position at 60th (922 points).

The increase in the ranking of the Indonesian Futsal National Team in the world rankings cannot be separated from their success in reaching the final of the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship tournament which was held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Unfortunately, Indonesia failed to bring home the winning trophy after they hosted Thailand in the final match at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Sunday (10/04/22) which had to end in a penalty shootout.

In the final match, Indonesia actually won two goals first through goals from Evan Souimalena and Ardiansyah Runtuboy.

However, Thailand, which came up with a “power play” strategy in the final minutes of the match, managed to equalize in just one minute, precisely in the 40th minute or at the end of the match, thanks to goals from Krit Aransanyalak and Muhammad Osamanmusa.
