Freizeit 2022 exceeds expectations

“Freizeit 2022 far exceeded our expectations. We were particularly pleased that, in addition to the core target group of families, we were able to address young people, who were attracted in particular by the Street Food Festival, the Vintage Kilo Sale and the topic of gaming. The success of this year’s Freizeit makes us confident that, in addition to the trade fairs, the large public fairs have not lost any of their attractiveness after a long period of absence,” explains fair director Thomas Mur.

The various initiatives, which were grouped under the three accents Sport, Food & Young, were particularly well received by the audience. For example, for the fourth time, Alperia Sport Hero was able to get thousands of children and young people up to the age of 14 excited about a wide variety of sports such as golf or baseball and thus introduce them to healthy physical activity. The demonstrations in the event arena in the FieraMesse H1 event space and the activities of around 30 local sports clubs at “Sportissimo” in the exhibition hall were a little more passive but no less entertaining for the visitors. A real highlight – both in terms of sport and as an event – was the broadcast of the last and decisive game of FC Südtirol for the successful promotion to the second highest Italian football league on the largest LED wall in the region in the new inner courtyard of the Bolzano exhibition center.

The Street Food Festival, with its ten food trucks from all over Italy, proved how important good food is for such a large event, which again represented the culinary and musical heart of the leisure time with a total of seven bands, who provided the atmosphere with their appropriate live music, from Friday to Sunday even until 11 p.m.! For all young people and the young at heart, Freizeit had a large and much-used gaming area with over 25 different video games that could be played together and free of charge. Many at the “Vinokilo Vintage Festival Bozen/Bolzano – supported by Tanzen ist auch Sport” stocked up on chic vintage clothing from the best brands at a price per kilo.

The exhibitors were also impressed by the new edition of the crowd puller. Veith Berger from the traditional exhibitor Auto Brenner was very satisfied with this year’s edition of Freizeit: “We were happy that Freizeit was taking place again and we agreed very quickly, as this fair is the most important meeting place at regional level for people who want to Looking for new outdoor products. We are very satisfied with the response and the interest on the part of the public!” The first-time exhibitor Christoph Rier from Cierre Holiday was also convinced of the first participation: “We originally wanted to take part in the canceled 2020 edition and were all the happier now that we were finally able to do so be. The number of visitors and the interest in our offers were very high and we are therefore very satisfied with this trade fair.”
