Intense weekend of competitions for Astarco archers, deployed on two different types of competition and on both fields with excellent results.
In the inter-regional 12 + 12 H&F (Campaign Shooting) organized by ASD Arcieri delle Alpi for their “31st Trophy”, in Rivoli, it is once again the “Wild” Andrea Pescatori to get on the podium for the Naked Arch Master category Male. The Pescatori with 238 points proves once again to be among the Astarco Archers the most prepared and inclined to face plates placed between branches, ups and downs, plays of shadows and lights.
In the meantime, the two young archers Astarco, Alessandro Rizzo and Leonardo Arossa, have been called to face one of the most intense and relevant competitions of the national archery dedicated to the Youth and Boys classes: the “Pinocchio Memorial Odilia Coccato Trophy”, winter phase, competition License plate. Organized by the ASD Compagnia Arcieri Varian in collaboration with the Piedmont Regional Committee, the competition was held on 48 arrows, with a distance of 20 meters for the Junior category (born in 2009/2010) and a distance of 15 meters for the Youth category. / e (born in 2011/2012/2013).
Born in 1974, in 1985, following a partnership agreement between FITARCO and Disney, the event took the name of “Mickey Mouse Trophy”, as it was associated with the image of the famous character drawn by Walt Disney. The Trophy continued with 14 editions until 2006. In 2009 FITARCO signed an agreement with the Carlo Collodi National Foundation, which allowed the image of the event to be linked to the well-known wooden puppet. After the untimely death of the President of the Piedmont Regional Committee Odilia Coccato, FITARCO Italia has decided to dedicate to her the first of the most important events in the national calendar, because during his long presidency, the Piedmontese arc experienced a real boom in victories, but above all the growth of real talents who are part of the Italian team and one of the best Italian committees.
Engaged in the same category Boys 2010, over the distance of 20m, the young Astarco give good proof of themselves by positioning themselves 3rd and 4th respectively: Alessandro Rizzo with 386 points and Leonardo Arossa with 364 points.
The next summer regional phase will take place in Castagnito (CN) on June 4 where the other 10 places will be assigned to complete the Piedmontese team that will play the final phase against the other Regional Representatives on July 2-3 next in Palmi (RC).
