On behalf of the 30th day of La Liga, Real Madrid won on the field of Celta Vigo (2-1) this Saturday. Launched by a penalty from Benzema (19th, sp), the Merengue had a first scare on a goal refused by the VAR to Galhardo, before finally conceding the equalizer by Nolito (53rd) after returning from the locker room. Despite a second missed penalty, Benzema (69th, sp) then gave victory to his team on a third penalty!
With this success, Real consolidates its first place in the standings with a provisional 12-point lead over its runner-up, Sevilla FC.
