El Rojinegro could not during his visit to Chivilcoy

Independente fell to Colon 90-75 in a new match for the Federal Basketball League, played yesterday in the city of Chivilcoy.

The start was partial. Colon, with Pérez as standard, went 7-0, but Andrizzi with 2 of 4 from the line of three narrowed it down to the minimum. Then they failed offensively and that effective brake thrashing turned into losses for both sides. But Andrizzi with 2 more triples stretched the maximum to 7 for those from Tandil that Debíasi also narrowed from a distance. The first quarter ended with Independiente leading 18-12.

The second quarter again showed Pérez very effective from the outside until a fall took him out of the game on a slip after a foul by Gutkin. With a run of 11-2, the locals took the lead in the first 2 minutes. Colón continued to control the game and Bonello from the outside gave Chivilcoy’s team the maximum of 8 with 5 minutes to go with the board 30-22. A triple by Hartstock and a run by Lanusse narrowed the difference, but Romero beat Arca on the paint, drawing the free kick from the Rojinegro pivot to escape to 6. The closing of the first half did not change much in the process and closed with an advantage for Columbus 38-34.

The second half found Colón better again, who returned to take 8 in the first minute of play. After a double by Arca, Quiroga of 3 and a play by Romero with a prize stretched the maximum to 14, with the score 48-34. With 6.21 to go Haag was effective on the line with the prize after a double under the board. From then on Independiente improved in defense and even reduced to 5 with Hartstock from the outside. Dinova did not miss the free ones. Haag from the same place scored the 2 and the closure favored the local 66-61.

The last 10 minutes were initially for those led by Bianco who got to 1, although Bossarelli generated a double and a subsequent foul in favor that he did not justify on the free throw line. Hartstock from three tied the game in the absence of 6.51 and Debíasi put an advantage of 2 that Andrizzi again of 3 gave the minimum to Tandil. With 6 minutes remaining, the game equaled at 71 and from there it went both ways in the next 3 minutes and Colón took off 6 units with 180 seconds to go. The closure was from Colón who took the game by 15, 90 to 75.

In 5 days the faces will be seen again, but it will already be the best of three games to find out who gets into the 2022 Federal League Play Offs.
