Easter Monday with the roads closed for … cycling race: the Tour of the Alps arrives – Chronicle

TRENTO. Are you planning an Easter Monday trip to Val di Non or Valsugana? Take into account the inconvenience caused by road closures. In fact, the 2022 edition of the Tour of the Alps kicks off on Monday 18 April. The roads of the Euregio Tirolo – Alto Adige – Trentino will host five days of great cycling without borders, effectively opening the season of stage races after the spring in the name of the Northern classics.

Sunday 17 April: preliminary operations and presentation of the teams in Cles.

The first stage – Monday – departing from Cles and arriving in Fiera di Primiero 160.9 km which will also pass through Trento (around 12 noon), Civezzano, Pergine, Borgo Valsugana (around 13 hours), Tesino, Passo Brocon.

The second stage it will be on Tuesday 19th April from Primiero / S. Martino di Castrozza in Lana, 154.1 Km with passage in Val di Fiemme, with passages in Predazzo and Cavaleseand then go down to Ora.

A taste of great cycling in view of the Giro d’Italia which will see Valsugana and the Cimbri Plateaus as protagonists with the start of the stage with arrival in Treviso of the pink race scheduled for Thursday 26 May.
