Does Hansi Flick overshadow the Löw era? That’s what fans say

Hansi Flick has been the German national coach since summer 2021. The title collector came to the DFB from FC Bayern as the successor to Joachim Löw. But how do the fans see the new coach?

As a survey by the opinion research institute Civey on behalf of t-online shows, Flick knows the supporters of the DFB more exciting than its predecessor Joachim Löw. The question was: “Do it for you national football team more joy again since Hansi Flick took over the post of national coach from Joachim Löw?”

The result: Around two thirds (65 percent) of German football fans agreed and answered the question either with “Yes, definitely” (39 percent) or “rather yes” (26 percent). 19 percent were undecided. Only 16 percent answered the question in the negative. Flick may still be able to convince them at the World Cup in Qatar.

Civey surveyed between March 31 and April 1, 2022. online 1,085 people interested in soccer in Germany. The data are representative due to quotations and weightings, taking into account the statistical error of 5.7 percentage points.
