Details of the prize money for the “Paris Premier Padel Major 2022” organized at Roland-Garros

A few weeks ago, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) formalized the organization of one of the 4 major tournaments offered by the new professional padel circuit “Premier Padel” at Roland-Garros.

While waiting to find out if this new circuit, supported in particular by Qatar Sports Investments, will establish itself in the padel landscape, France will have the chance to host a “Major” level stage, the most endowed category and that the we can compare to a Grand Slam in tennis VS other tournaments.

For this first edition of Paris Premier Padel Major organized from July 11 to 17, 2022 organized at Roland-Garros, the players will share a total of €525,000.

In details, the winning pair will pocket a check for €94,600or €47,300 per player.

A few weeks ago, the pair Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno won the Premier Major Premier Padel contested in Doha in Qatar and a prize money of 85 048 dollars.

First Padel: 4 majors in 4 different countries

Besides Qatar and France, the two other countries that will host a Major are the Mexico and Italy.

The Mexican Padel Federation (FEMEPA) has signed a multi-year contract with Premier Padel, the world circuit governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and supported by the Professional Padel Association (PPA).

The Mexican “Major” will take place from November 28 to December 04, 2022 at the Sonoma club in Monterrey.

Before the French stage, Italy will host the second “Major” of the season with a tournament scheduled from May 23 to 29, 2022. multi-year agreement was signed between the International Padel Federation (FIP), the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT) and Sport E Salute (the sports agency of the Italian Government). It’s the Historical Italian Forum of Rome which will host this event, the same which hosts the Masters 1000 of tennis.
