Converse Aeon Active CX, all about the launch and innovative design

The new ones Converse Aeon Active CX they break the establishment in Converse. Undoubtedly, the brand’s most famous sneakers are the Chuck Taylor, the 1920s basketball shoe that left the hard court behind to become an ever-present staple in contemporary footwear. And in recent years, high-profile designers from Virgil Abloh to Rick Owens have harnessed the silhouette for collaborations. However, for the most recent collaboration of Conversethe founder and designer of A Cold Wall, Samuel Ross, decided to create an entirely new silhouette: the Aeon Active CXwhich is unlike any pair of the brand that we have seen before.

How are the new Converse Aeon Active CX?

The Converse Aeon Active CX it appears to have heeled in on Earth from outer space. The design looks more like a pair of Nike high-performance sneakers that something of the signature behind the mythical Chuck Taylor, but that is the question. As a designer, Ross has always brought an artistic and avant-garde air to his work, which is precisely what he has done here. Also, it is good to remember that Converse is owned by Nike.

It is a futuristic slip-on boot with an amazing sole made of ultra-comfortable foam. The Aeon Active CX from Converse has runway quality, from the fashion-forward silhouette to the on-trend leather and suede details.

Launching

The first colorway of the Converse Aeon Active CX (“Micro Chip and Healing Jade”) will go on sale on April 12, and the second (“Black and Apple Green”) will do so in May.

He will be successful?

The voluminous and amorphous silhouettes are in trend. Think Pyer Moss Sculpts, the recently launched Balenciaga Defender and Kanye West’s zip-up sneakers, which haven’t been released yet. You can officially add the Converse Aeon Active CX to the list.

Ross grew up in Off-White and Yeezy, and you can tell that the convention-breaking ethos of Virgil Abloh and West has stuck. (In particular, the colors seem to give a slight nod to the Air Yeezy 2, while the typeface printed on the side resembles Abloh’s.) With A Cold Wall, Ross is known for his high-concept design with a different point of view, and has brought him into this collaboration. In other words, it is impossible to confuse these new converse with some classics Chuck Taylor.
