• The Miami Heat made their second success in the first series of the elimination tournament – the Atlanta Hawks were defeated 115:10. There were 13 changes of control during the game, but 11 times the result was a draw.
• In the first 12 minutes, both teams were in the lead, but both teams did not succeed in taking the shots from the game, while in the second quarter both teams improved their throw accuracy – before the second half, the Heat was in the lead with (56:54).
• There was a struggle for team leaders in the first half. Trey Young scored 18 points, while Jimmy Butler scored 21 points at half time (1p. 7/7).
• In the presence of almost 20,000 spectators, the Heat spent a good third quarter, increasing their lead to 11 points. Butler was great again, taking five of the six shots and adding up to 36 points.
• Although the Hawks were more successful in the final quarter (52.2% vs. 43.5%), the Heat won (115: 105). The result in the series has become 2-0 in favor of the pair’s favorite “Heat”.
• Butler finished the match with 45 points (1p. 11/12, 2p. 11/18, 3p. 4/7), five rebounds and five assists. The 45 points scored are a new record for Butler’s career in the knockout tournament phase.
• Butler has only become the third player in the history of the Heat to score at least 40 points in at least three playoff games. He joined Dwayne Way and Lebron James.
• No other Heat player has reached the limit of at least 20 points. The second scorer with 15 points was Tyler Hero.
• The Hawks scored 25 points, seven assists and 10 errors, while Bogdan Bogdanovich scored 29 points in his career-leading knockout tournament.
