Boulogne-Levallois sole leader after his victory over Fos-sur-Mer

Boulogne-Levallois, winner of Fos-sur-Mer, 77 to 73, settled alone at the top of the Elite basketball championship standings after a late match of the 24th day, Monday at the Palais Marcel Cerdan .

Co-leader with Monaco before the meeting, the Ile-de-France residents suffered to overcome a catchy Ditch team, which logically deserved to take the lead before the break (43-32), in the wake of shooters Lassan Kromah and Deishuan Booker.

The visitors even increased the gap to + 15 points (32-47, 22nd), but they mismanaged the end of the third quarter allowing Vincent Collet’s men to pick up to 7 points (55-62, 30th). The start of the final quarter was fatal to them: they conceded a severe 7-0 in two minutes and a half which allowed the leader to come back up.

Fos-sur-Mer, which remained two capital successes in Dijon (97-79) and Le Mans (99-93), paid for its lack of discipline, which Boulogne-Levallois was able to take advantage of, being in the “money time”.

The leader will travel to Bourg on Saturday for the next day, while Fos will host Nanterre the day before.
