Biggest fines for Zulte Waregem and Standard, other clubs also receive money penalties | Jupiler Pro League

Zulte Waregem supporters had set off Bengali fireworks and two smoke pots in five minutes during the home game against STVV, just after the break.

The West Flemish tried to argue that it is impossible to keep pyrotechnic material out of the stadium.

The committee called it a “terrible notion that the public must accept the risk that one of them would sooner or later suffer burns”.

Standard was penalized for lighting at least five Bengal lights and five red smoke pots in the game against Union.

During that match, Union supporters also committed illegal behavior by setting off Bengal fire and several smoke pots in their own area. The Brussels club was fined 2,500 for this.

Furthermore, Cercle Brugge and Charleroi were penalized in 1A, both with 2,500 euros, of which 1,000 euros with postponement.

In 1B, Deinze (1,000 euros of which 500 euros with postponement), Lommel (1,000 euros), RWDM (1,250 euros), Westerlo (1,500 euros of which 500 euros with postponement) and Waasland-Beveren (100 euros) were fined.
