Basketball gophers fall to UACH

ZACATECAS. Basketball Gophers from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) lost, with a score of 75 points to 54, against the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH).

The University Auditorium of the UAZ Siglo XXI Campus (21) was the venue for the match in which the Zacatecan women closed their participation in the Regional Universiade of the National Council for Educational Sports (Connde).

Although they were at a disadvantage for most of the match, they fought to shorten the score, however, fatigue ended up reducing them in offense and defense.

The player of the match was Lizbeth Sáenz from UACH with 30 points, while Angela Maldonado stood out for Tuzas UAZ, who registered 12 points.

The university students from Zacatecas could not register any victory in the contest, however, they do not lower their heads and will continue with the training for later competitions.
