The British news agency PA reported that the bid by the Ricketts consortium had been withdrawn, citing information from the investment group. According to PA information, the consortium led by the Ricketts family has not agreed on a final bid for the football club.
Chelsea FC, which is up for sale, is currently facing severe sanctions from the British government because of its Russian owner Roman Abramovich. The club of German coach Thomas Tuchel is currently not allowed to sign or sell players or negotiate new contracts.
